Pavement Mushroom:

Warning: This fungi is edible with a very typical mushroom taste.

Habitat: This fungi likes urban and industrial area's, often found growing on roadside verges, and pavements where salt is applied in the winter. It is vigorous enough to push it's way up through tarmac and paving slabs. these mushrooms are around from late spring through to Autumn, especially after damp spell of weather.

Comment: Uncommon to rare, but widespread in the British Isles, It tends to occur in small groups rather than as a single mushroom. This fungi is also known as Torq, Spring Agaric, Banded Agaricus and Urban Agaricus.
