Wood Sage: UK Status: Resident. Flowering Period: From July until September. Appx Height: Up to 40cm. Habitat: This is one of dozens of members of the Mint family (mentha). It is found mostly on coastal areas, moors, heaths, woodland edges and rocky habitats. Although a sage, it has little scent and is no use as a culinary herb. Comment: This is a common wild flower throughout the British Isles, and Ireland.
