Status: Resident in UK. Wing Span: 12mm to 16mm. Flight Period: May and June, and if second brooded, again in September. Habitat: Mainly heaths and moor land, where Gorse grows. Comment: This moth is quite common throughout the British Isles. |

Comment: Well distributed but local in England as far up as Northumberland. Locally common in Ireland, found in a couple of area's in Scotland. |

Habitat: Around Oak tree's in woods, gardens, hedgerows etc. Comment: This moth is well distributed throughout England and Wales. Scarcer in north England, and Scotland, only recorded in a few areas. This moth is only recorded from the southern most Irish counties. |
