Habitat: Found in the damper parts of woodland rides, and clearings.

Comment: Fairly common and well distributed throughout the UK. Adult moths are very gregarious.

Habitat: Found on heaths, moorlands, country parks and gardens, where ever the larval foodplant is present.

Comment: This species is fairly common throughout England, Wales and southern Scotland, and is localised in Ireland.

Habitat: Found in the damper parts of wooded areas. females have much shorter antennae.

Comment: Fairly common and throughout England and Wales, as far north as Cumbria.
